Volunteer
Volunteers at the Old Courthouse Heritage Museum play a vital role in the daily operation of the Museum and the many activities, events, and programs that take place here. The most lasting impression that museum visitors take away with them may be their experience with a volunteer. Volunteers serve as tour guides or docents in our galleries and as assistants at various Museum receptions and community events.
Guides/Docents conduct pre-arranged tours or lead impromptu tours for groups of all ages during Museum hours. The Museum staff provides orientation and training for all new guides and docents. The Museum also regularly offers volunteers continuing education opportunities and get-together events. Other volunteer opportunities include helping with administration and in the store.
