Turtle Trek: A Free Kids’ Nature Walk at Cooter Pond

Join us at The Old Courthouse Museum for Turtle Trek: A Free Kids’ Nature Walk at Cooter Pond on Saturday, March 4th. We’ll meet at the museum at 9 am, and promptly walk two blocks to Cooter Pond where our staff will talk about the plants and wildlife that live there. The pond is surrounded by a raised up boardwalk- a dock if you will- and birds, gators, and turtles are just about always seen there. We’ll talk about their behaviors, too. Free children’s binoculars. We host free children’s programs every first and third Saturday of the month to coincide with the Market at the Depot around the corner.
