Citrus County Mosquito Control and The Old Courthouse Heritage Museum present a free Coffee and Conversation presentation of “History of Citrus County Mosquito Control” with Tarolyn Frisbie, Public Education Specialist.

Do you remember running behind the mosquito control fog truck as a kid? A lot has changed since the Citrus County Mosquito Control District was established in 1953. Explore the rich history behind the formation of mosquito control in Florida and see original photos from the early days of mosquito control here in Citrus County. We’ll also discuss current day practices, and how you can help in your very own backyard.
