Classic Florida Film Fest: Follow That Dream

The Old Courthouse Heritage Museum presents “Follow That Dream” on Thursday, June 26th at 7:00 pm inside the historic courtroom. Doors will open at 6:00 pm. This event is part of our Classic Florida Film Fest and a suggested donation for admission is $5.00. Free popcorn will be provided at showtime. Please RSVP in advance for seating: (352) 341-6428.
“Follow That Dream” stars Elvis Presley and was filmed in parts of Citrus, Marion, and Levy Counties in 1961, with the courtroom scenes made right here in our Old Courthouse. Children under 18 must be accompanied by parents to supervise them for the duration of the event.
We also recommend eventgoers stop in early to see our temporary museum exhibit on loan from Museum of Florida History entitled “Beaches, Creatures, and Cowboys: Florida Movie Posters.” This display from the Traveling Exhibits (TREX) program includes tons of movie poster art from films made right here in the Sunshine State through the times!
