Please RSVP in advance for seating by calling the museum office at (352) 341-6428.\nOn Saturday\, June 7th\, we’ll be hosting a showing of the 1964 film\, “The Incredible Mr. Limpet” at 2:30 pm in the historic courtroom on the 2nd floor. This is a half movie/ half cartoon production where the film goes back and forth between the two and filmed right nearby in Weeki Wachi!\n\nFor families who want to stop by earlier at 1:00 pm\, we’ll be leading a free activity with kids to create some fish paper crafts. This family day event is free and free popcorn will be given out at movie time! Run time is 99 minutes. Parents must stay for the duration with your children to supervise them.

Please RSVP in advance for seating: (352) 341-6428.\n\nThe Creature movie was filmed in nearby Silver Springs\, and was released in 1954. Run time is 1 hour 19 minutes. Children under 18 must be accompanied by parents to supervise them for the duration of the event.\nWe also recommend eventgoers stop in early to see our temporary museum exhibit on loan from Museum of Florida History entitled “Beaches\, Creatures\, and Cowboys: Florida Movie Posters.” This display from the Traveling Exhibits (TREX) program includes tons of movie poster art from films made right here in the Sunshine State through the times!

We also encourage everyone to stop by early to see our temporary exhibit\, “Beaches\, Creatures and Cowboys: Florida Movie Posters.” This display is on loan from Museum of Florida History’s Traveling exhibits.\nFree popcorn will be given out at movie time! Run time is 128 minutes.
