DESCRIPTION:The Old Courthouse Heritage Museum presents “Music at the Museum with The Currys!\n\nFriday\, November 10 at 7 pm. Tickets are $25 with a $5 discount for members of the Citrus County Historical Society (membership to be verified upon purchase). Doors open at 6 pm\, show begins at 7 pm. The ticket includes after-hours museum access\, appetizers\, and soft drinks. While we don’t offer paper tickets\, your name and number in your party will be added to a reservation list\, and you’ll be checked in at the door on the date of the show.\n⁠\nThe Currys are a family folk-rock outfit featuring brothers Jimmy and Tommy Curry and cousin Galen Curry. Active since 2013\, the band has performed in various lineups as a folk harmony trio and a five-piece folk-rock outfit. Their early work (“Follow” in 2014 and “West of Here” in 2016) features the voices of three distinct songwriters weaving harmony-driven Americana. The band’s third studio release\, “This Side of the Glass\,” meditates on personal and social relationships and explores the dual nature of performing artists as both the authors of stories and the objects of storytelling. The album features a grittier\, more mature sound that leans heavily on The Currys’ three-part vocal arrangements even while it strays beyond the borders of the folk & singer-songwriter tradition.\n\n\nCitrus County Historical Society Members receive a 20% discount on ticketed events. Your membership must be active to receive the discount. If you are unsure of your membership status\, please call 352-341-6428. Ordering a membership-priced ticket without an active membership may result in your order being canceled. \n
